Yummy Maja Blanca (Coconut Pudding)

Today, I'm going to show you how to make Maja Blanca. It is one of the popular desserts in the Philippines. It is usually served during fiestas and holidays, especially Christmas and New Year's Day. Here's all you need.

  • 2 cups coconut milk
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1/2 can condensed milk
  • 1 can whole sweet kernel corn
  • 1/2 cup fresh milk
  • (add 1/2 cup sugar, if you prefer but I skip mine because condense milk is sweet enough and toasted grated coconut is another option, but I don't have it in hand!)

1. In a large sauce pan, pour the coconut milk and bring it to a boil. Add condense milk and kernel corn then stir well. Simmer for 8 minutes.
2. Combine the fresh milk and cornstarch together until the cornstarch is diluted. Then pour the milk and cornstarch mixture into the saucepan and stir thoroughly.
3. Allow it to cook while stirring until you reach the thickness that you desire. Pour the mixture in a serving tray and flatten the top using a spatula.
4. Put it in the fridge for at least an hour. Sprinkle some toasted grated coconut on top then it is ready to serve and enjoy!
